25-Minute Solution Focused Brief Therapy Sessions.

These sessions are designed for Individuals experiencing some mild Psychological distress that are wanting to focus on constructing solutions to problems rather than focusing on and analysing the problem. Some (big and small) life events causing stress don't always require deeper insight and analysis. In some situations it is appropriate and may feel more empowering to focus on solutions to overcome the problem, rather than feeling stuck in the problem. Solution Focused Therapy helps you focus on moving towards your preferred future free of the problem, and changes you can make to get there. It incorporates principles from Positive Psychology and Motivational Change Techniques to help you look towards life beyond the presenting problem. It also helps identify and draw on a client's pre-existing strengths, coping strategies, and resources to move beyond the problem and thrive.


These briefer sessions can also be suitable for long term clients that are doing well in their recovery, and still prefer to check in with a Psychologist every so often to ensure their recovery is on track, that may not require the length of a 50-minute session.


*These sessions are not suitable for an Initial Individual Consultation and Assessment, or for Individuals presenting with with moderate to complex Psychological Issues.
